Biography
Professor Akpan is a foremost Professor of Project Management in Nigeria (Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Operations and Production Management).
He has been Head of Department, Project Management and Industrial Engineering at FUTO, Owerri.
He is currently with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Nigeria.
He is a product of the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, Cardiff.
His core research focus includes Project Controls and Engineering Management; Operations and Supply Chain Management; and Corporate Governance and Finance.
Professor Akpan has been involved with the IEEPC Education Team, sharing his experience and giving younger generations the knowledge and skills required in industry.
He is currently IEEPC Chairperson for the Education & Examination Board.
